First. It’s a word we associate with victory, change, and growth. As we ring in the new year of 2018, I look back on what I wore my first day of my second year in law school. It’s funny how firsts can exist even with familiar things. Even though I’d attended my program for over a year, the first day was still exciting and produced some anxiety. I looked forward to reuniting with old friends and starting new classes. My outfit also balanced old and new. I wore a new top from one of my favorite cheap-site-finds, paired with my trusty dark-wash jeans and green flats I got in high school, for a pop of color. I like to wear watches to school because they look classic and sophisticated even though we all use our phones to actually check the hour of the day. Overall this look was comfortable, simple, and fun, all things I hoped I’d find in my second year!
