Icy Color for the “Heat” Wave

Cleveland is not known for its warm climate. This is especially clear to me being from this country’s Southern borders. But still, we got a ray of unexpected hope when it reached nearly 60 in January.

One of my good friends from the law school invited me to a Lalah Hathaway concert at the House of Blues this past Saturday. I immediately determined I’d take advantage of the warm air and wear something fun and flirty. I’ve had this dress hanging in the midst of my overflow rack for some time now, just waiting to be let out. Once I slipped it on, I knew it was a perfect fit for the evening. This white and gold number comes from Shein and I love that the chain lace gives it some sex appeal without overt exposure. I paired it with brown leather and cork scrappy, platform heels (yes, I wore cork in Winter) and my black Kate Spade wristlet. The music was amazing, but I’m not one for standing hours on end so by the end of the night I felt like my body had carried me through war. And I’m happy to report that this outfit survived the battle beautifully as well.

Always,

Allison
