When In Portland

This past weekend was my second time in Portland and my first time outside of its airport. It’s a unique place, with both a city and a town feel and mountains neighboring skyscrapers.

I was there as a coordinator for one of our law school’s moot court teams, but luckily we also got a chance to explore. My main takeaway impression from Portland is that everyone’s 35 or younger and there is food for every palate. It’s a very walkable city and downtown is small enough that even the slightly directionally challenged like myself can find their way. If not, the locals are friendly and don’t mind a quick chat, especially if you’re looking for food suggestions. There were barely warm to cool temperatures, and it rains like Seattle, so I opted for my waterproof, lined coat from Target, a girl’s favorite walking shoes, curvy skinny jeans from Old Navy, a two-tone sweater for warmth, and a long army green vest from Wish. I paired it with a vibrant gold crossbody for that all important pop of color and dessert from Voodoo Doughnuts. I’d recommend ; )

Always,

Allison
