Old Tags, New Looks

I tend to be a creature of habit. I love going to restaurants I know and ordering the menu items I love. Like the loaded potato soup from O’Charley’s. Any day (๐Ÿ’•). It’s funny because I’m the opposite when it comes to my wardrobe. I challenge myself not to rewear items in the same way in close proximity. I may set the goal for a semester or during some other limited period, and I always find new favorite looks this way. I’ve had all of these items, from my neck down, for a good length of time. I’d pictured playing each of them safe when I bought them, but now I felt like taking a risk, like standing out. It was a bit nerve-racking walking into school actually. People often comment on my fashion, but I could feel this outfit said more, it demanded attention, it wasn’t a standard pick from the menu. I think that’s what makes fashion; being inventive with your closet, trying something because you think it looks good even if it will stand out. And after my venture into the creative side of dressing I have to say, it’s much more fun over here. I got this mustard jacket from Wish, the checkered dress from Shein (and was asked if it was from Banana Republic b/c a lookalike was spotted), have had these boots and boot socks for years and wear them often and eagerly, and the stunning ear jewelry adorning my lobes is new from Lulu’s. Always,

Allison
