Can you wear leather to work?? I ventured to test that out for you yesterday!

I was nervous as heck to push what I felt was a clear limit on workplace codes of conduct, but once I thought about it, and with serious reassurance from my boyfriend, I realized this dress and the linen jacket paired with it followed the classic dress code rule: moderation is key. Throughout the day I did approach a fresh coworker with a nervous flicker of doubt, yet no one batted an eye, and I even received a few compliments and stares of awe and approval on my walking commute! Offices can be conservative and sometimes stuffy places, law firms especially, but learning to tone down or balance a statement piece will carry you far. I think pearls for the perfect contrast to this dress if I do say so myself. So what I learned from this daring venture into possible workplace fashion faux pas… a little adventure can get you noticed in a good way and seriously boost the perception of and your actual confidence! So try it! Within reason of course ladies ; )
